Plan across time zones
Set up your world clock, convert a future time or find a meeting that fits the people you’re planning for.
Add and arrange locations
Use Add a place to search for a city. Open the three-dot menu on a row to give it a label, set its working days and hours or make it Home. Home anchors the date and time controls and the displayed time differences.
Drag a location by its grip. The gap shows where it will go. With the grip focused, press Space to pick it up, use the arrow keys to move it, then press Space or Enter to drop it. Press Esc to cancel. The move buttons are also available in location settings. Right-click a location for quick access to Mark as home and Remove location. Focus or hover over the time difference to see time zone details. Turn the badges next to place names on or off under Settings → Appearance → Show time zone abbreviations.
Convert a time across time zones
- Add the cities you want to compare and make your reference city Home.
- Click the date or use the time editor to enter the date and local time in Home. Click a timeline tile to use its starting time, or scrub the slider to look earlier or later.
- Read each location’s time and date for that same moment. A +1 day or −1 day label is relative to Home. The darker date tile marks the start of a new local day.
Use Back to now to return to the live clocks. Press N to do this from the keyboard. A opens Add a place and ? opens quick help.
Select, move or resize a time range
Click a tile for a single moment at the tile’s start. Drag over tiles to select a period that includes each whole tile. Dragging across the 09:00 and 10:00 tiles selects 09:00–11:00 in either direction, and dragging within the 09:00 tile selects 09:00–10:00.
Drag inside the outline on any row to move the period without changing its duration. Drag an end handle to resize it. Move and resize snap to 15-minute steps by default. Hold Shift for five-minute steps. Use Select a range to type exact dates and times, including overnight periods. Use Clear range to remove the outline. Press Esc to cancel an active drag.

How does clocktheworld.com choose meeting times?
clocktheworld.com checks 15-minute starts over seven days, using Home’s calendar dates. A meeting counts as working time for a location when the entire period fits its schedule. Personal time covers hours outside both work and night. Night is 22:00–07:00 local time where those hours fall outside the work schedule.
What if there are no shared working hours?
Compare the labels on suggested alternatives. Best working-hours fit favours the most working schedules. Soonest outside night hours offers the earliest slot that keeps everyone out of night hours. Best fit outside night hours favours working hours among those night-free slots. Another day offers a different date when useful. A slot can meet several goals. A card’s status describes the whole meeting, even when its displayed start time looks reasonable.
Suggestions compare the hours you entered. Check calendars and confirm availability with the people you’re inviting.
Plan a meeting around daylight saving time
Set the date of the actual meeting. Places can change clocks on different weekends, and some keep the same offset year-round. A meeting held at 14:00 in Home can therefore land at a different local time elsewhere from one week to the next.
For example, 14:00 in Dublin is 10:00 in New York on 15 March 2027, after the US change. On 29 March, after Ireland changes clocks, 14:00 in Dublin is 09:00 in New York.
Look for clock-change notices near the timeline and meeting suggestions. For a recurring meeting, check dates on both sides of each change. When entering a time during a repeated hour, choose the first or second occurrence. If the local hour is skipped, enter a time that exists on that date.
Download a meeting for your calendar
Choose a meeting in Find a time, or select a time range in World clock. Use the calendar action, enter an event title and download the .ics file. Open it in your calendar to save the event and add guests there if needed.
